Stormy Daniels signed the letter, published on January 10, 2018 — but (her attorney) Davison testified he wrote it himself.

"TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN: I recently became aware that certain news outlets are alleging that I had a sexual and/or romantic affair with Donald Trump many, many, many years ago," the statement began. "I am stating with complete clarity that this is absolutely false."

The underlined words/phrases have a great deal of wiggle room - enabling the author to deceive the reader into thinking there was no romantic “affair” or sexual activity (an “affair” is longer term, not a single event) while not stating there was no “sexual” activity. She also begins with the introduction, “I am stating …” which is not definitive.

The introduction, “I am stating …” is also a partial truth. She is “stating” .. “that this is absolutely false.” This is a partially truthful statement since she is “stating .. “that this is absolutely false” - however, it is intentionally misleading the readers, therefore, it's not the complete truth. Much like Lance Armstrong’s falsehood, “I have never doped. I can say it again … but I’ve said it for seven years.” 2005.

People can “say” anything when they introduce it with “I can say ..” or “I am stating ..” Those are deceptive tactics. Be careful and pay attention to introductions and wiggle words.
