D.B. Cooper is Walt Reca
What separates Walt Reca as the real D.B. Cooper from all the other wannabes is that we have the evidence proving he is D.B. Cooper. In addition to the taped confession from Walt Reca to Carl Laurin and many other evidence-based corroborations, we have an eyewitness who saw Walt the night of November 24, 1971, after Walt parachuted into the Cle Elum, Washington area after jumping from the Boeing 727, NWA Flight 305.
Jeff Osiadacz is not just the eyewitness to the events the night of the skyjacking in Cle Elum, Washington. He’s a former lawman, a trained observer, and a much-respected long-time citizen of Cle Elum.
Osiadacz, years after the Walt-Carl recording, mirrored Walt’s lengthy and detailed statement without any realistic contamination affecting his exacting account. Osiadacz’s statements about what Walt was wearing, where Osiadacz, driving a dump truck, passed Walt as Walt walked toward the Cle Elum Cafe, the weather conditions (rainy and cold), what Walt was wearing and carrying, the truck description parked at the Cafe, precisely corroborating Walt’s account as Walt entered the Cafe, describing a guy who looked like a Cowboy, wearing a cowboy hat, with a guitar next to where “Cowboy” was sitting. Osiadacz precisely mirrored Walt’s statements in the recordings made years earlier, which were unknown to Osiadacz. Further, Osiadacz stated Walt asked him (Osiadacz) if he would give directions to the Cafe to Walt’s friend, and Osiadacz corroborated that account exactly. Osiadacz remembered Walt bought him a cup of coffee.
Shortly after he talked to Walt’s friend, Osiadacz left the Cafe with his guitar and drove off in the dump truck he was driving to play in a band at the Grange Hall in Cle Elum for a pre-Thanksgiving event. Osiadacz wore a cowboy hat, played the guitar, and was (is) a lead singer.
In this case, we have so much evidence that former prosecutors, judges, and high-ranking law enforcement agents all agree that Walt Reca was D.B. Cooper. The FBI needs to review our case and close the D.B. Cooper case once and for all.
